A New Data Direction for Government: Protecting, Securing and Optimizing Your Information-government.vision

March 17
10 AM PT, 1 PM ET

Overview

Data is at the heart of all government action. And advances in technology have allowed government agencies to gather more information than ever before. However, transferring all data to decision-making remains a challenge for many governments and local organizations.

To help governments better understand current data trends — promises, challenges, and plans to help you get all the data you need quickly and securely to anyone who needs it — Government Technology is working with Oracle to create a dedicated two-part web. Followed by former Utah CIO Mike Hussey.

In Part 1 of this discussion, March 17, we’ll discuss with Hussey how status data has changed and how to make the most of real-time driving decisions. This half-hour debate will also focus on:

  • What can organizations do to keep their data secure in the face of external and internal threats?
  • How to determine the confidentiality of data for agents
  • How to improve your data management and analysis

And on April 26, agree to join us in the second part of our interview with Hussey, looking at how governments can effectively turn data into action.
